Quantum is a professional services firm that provides accounting and finance as a service, business advisory and business intelligence services to early-stage and middle-market companies.  Quantum is searching for highly skilled CFOs that can be a trusted advisor to our clients.  Quantum CFOs are operational and technology enabled to deliver value in a way that is consistent with today’s ever changing business environment.  Quantum CFOs leverage the power of digital technologies and analytical tools to operate efficiently and provide the business insight our clients need to grow their businesses. CFOs are responsible to managing finance teams and overall service to the client.  Quantum CFOs are leaders within our business and support team development.   The Quantum CFO is a leader in the business community and supports business development efforts.


  • Primary direct relationship with clients
  • Private industry experience working in an industry serviced by Quantum strongly preferred
  • Budgeting & forecasting, cash flow and other strategic planning with the client
  • Primary client ally in relationships with client’s professional team (attorney, insurance and financial experts, banks, etc.)
  • Integrated resource and performance planning, solutions implementation, and management with other business areas (marketing & sales, HR, technology)
  • Individual client budgeting and resource management, ongoing mentoring and supervision
  • Management of new client implementations and ongoing support in addition broader finance team

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Active CPA license / MBA preferred
  • Diverse set of experiences in different company sizes and structures
  • Public accounting experience
  • Previous experience in senior leadership in accounting or finance
  • Experience companies experiencing transitions, transactions, turnarounds and transformations
  • Experience working with auditors
  • Specialized expertise that would qualify the CFO as an “expert”
  • Strong technology skills, including using Microsoft Office 2007 or later (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred)
  • Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Team player with a positive “can-do” approach
  • Problem solver attitude
  • A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas
